The Maryland General Assembly will begin its 2010 session in January and once again healthcare policy issues will be high on its agenda. On both the state and national levels, comprehensive healthcare reform packages are getting significant media attention because they are being promoted as the "solution" to the healthcare crisis. Some of these packages are non-starters, many address part of the problem, but none of the proposals made thus far is the "solution". Baltimore Association of Health Underwriters and Maryland Association of Health Underwriters are working to ensure that you have a voice in the debate, but we need your involvement to ensure success.

Your involvement is critical! It is not enough to sit on the sidelines and point out what is wrong with other proposals, we, as an association of professionals, need to draw on our expertise to help steer the debate. If appeals to altruism don't get you moving, then think of your involvement in these efforts as career insurance and find out what you can do to help.
